ABOUT BIZ LEARNING HUB

Biz Learning Hub is an initiative by ADRA Sri Lanka's Building Resilience and Vaccine Awareness (BRAVE) project in partnership with the Small Enterprise Development Division of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs.

This online learning center was established in order to support small-scale businesses that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The learning center consists of core business lessons that equip existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with basic knowledge to start and carry out a business with the resources they have.

The study materials available here have been developed with the support of resource persons from the Small Enterprise Development Division (SED). SED is the state body responsible to establish and ensure growth of small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs for sustainable growth.

About THE BRAVE PROJECT

The BRAVE project was a one-year project carried out by ADRA Sri Lanka with the funding of its head office, ADRA International to address the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and to support the mitigation efforts of the Sri Lankan health sector.

The project which was carried out in the Gampaha District has contributed to improve access to vaccines, to mitigate the impact of the virus and to support those affected, in the following ways:
 1) address the myths and misinformation  surrounding the vaccine and to raise awareness regarding the importance of vaccination.
2) create pandemic resilient communities.
3) support the efforts of the preventive and curative health sector.
4) contribute towards economic recovery of small scale entrepreneurs
and the country as a whole.
